What is it

Your entire year,
uninterrupted.

A continuous — or perpetual — academic wall calendar is a single, unbroken calendar that runs from August through the following summer. No page turns, no month breaks, no gaps. The whole year lives on your wall at once.

Most calendars slice time into 30-day rectangles. But that's not how semesters work, how deadlines stack, or how your brain actually tracks time. The perpetual continuous format lets you see across months instantly — finals in relation to Thanksgiving, spring break in relation to midterms.

Continuous vs. monthly

A perpetual view built for how students
actually think.

Traditional monthly calendar12 separate grids. Flip pages to see how far away finals are. Context disappears every time you turn a page.
Continuous academic wall calendarOne unbroken grid from August to July. Every deadline and break visible relative to where you are right now.
Built for the academic scheduleStarts in July or August — not January. Designed around how semesters actually run.

Common questions

Everything you need
to know.

Is this the same as a perpetual calendar? +

It depends on how you're using the term. In watchmaking, a perpetual calendar automatically accounts for varying month lengths and leap years — and in that sense, yes, our calendars are perpetual: every grid is generated accurately for its specific year, including leap days. More commonly though, people searching for a "perpetual wall calendar" or "perpetual academic calendar" are looking for exactly what we make: a single, unbroken calendar view that runs continuously across months without page breaks. That's us.

Does the week start on Sunday or Monday? +

Our calendars are available with either a Sunday or Monday start — Sunday is the default. If you'd like Monday, just select it when ordering.

What academic year does the calendar cover? +

Each calendar is printed for a specific academic year — typically starting in July or August and running through the following June or July. We offer the current and upcoming academic year so you can plan ahead.

Does the 2027–2028 calendar account for leap year? +

Yes — 2028 is a leap year and February 29th is included on every 2027–2028 calendar. Every calendar grid is generated accurately for its specific year. You don't need to double-check our math.

How do I hang it? +

Painters tape and double-sided squares both work. For the cleanest look, a wooden magnetic poster hanger sandwiches the top with no tape or hardware. Use a 12" hanger for Compact and Summer, 16" for Classic. Full guide at pecanprinthouse.com/pages/hangers.

What's the difference between Compact and Classic? +

Compact (12×36") is our most popular — narrow enough for most spaces, long enough to show the full year. Classic (16×45") has larger day cells with more room to write in each square. If you handwrite a lot on your calendar, go Classic.

Can I use it as a dorm room wall calendar? +

Absolutely — Compact is basically made for dorm life. Narrow enough for a slim panel, long enough to show the full semester, clear enough to read from across a small room.

Do you ship to Australia or internationally? +

We ship internationally. One note: our calendars are formatted for the North American academic calendar — August through July. The Australian academic year runs February through November. If you're outside North America, double-check that our August–July structure works for your schedule before ordering.

Is it good for ADHD or time blindness? +

Many of our most passionate customers specifically struggle with time perception. The always-visible, no-interaction-required format removes the friction that causes digital systems to fail — the year is just there, on your wall, every time you look up.

Can I start in January instead of August? +

Our calendars are designed around the academic year starting in late summer. We don't currently offer a January–December format. If your life runs on an academic schedule, the August start will feel exactly right.

What paper stock is it printed on? Can I write on it? +

Yes — matte paper stock that takes pencil, ballpoint pen, and fine-tip markers well. Matte finish means no glare and writing feels natural. Avoid slow-drying gel pens, and use fine or medium tips in the smaller cell sizes.

Is it a good graduation gift? +

One of our most-gifted products. Practical, beautiful on a wall, and something most people wouldn't buy for themselves. Compact works in almost any space — a solid starting point for a gift.

Where are the calendars made? +

Every calendar is printed to order in our studio in Charlotte, NC. We are a small husband and wife operation — not a mass-market product. Each order is handled by us directly, printed fresh for your specific year.
